Another year, another BGG.CON in the books. And once again, it was an amazing experience. While we were there, my brother and I chatted about the primary difference between this convention and GenCon. We feel that GenCon is truly commerce focused: you’re going there to buy games and other goods. Don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty of games to be played, but not without a ticket and a reservation. At BGG.CON? It’s all about the gaming. As you can see by what we brought back, there’s no shortage of things to buy there…but it’s focused on open gaming. And THAT is what makes it like Christmas for me!
